This kaupapa is about lifting our people up. Helping them to step out of their comfort zone, away from any judgment or criticism and knowing they are in a safe environment to experience something that can ultimately be life changing as it has been for me.

Carving sizes
I love the fact that people can come and make whatever piece they like, no matter the size. But recently we have seen the sizes of our students carvings go from medium to large to extra large.
So that we can continue to allow any size pieces to be created but still be a viable business for years to come, each student has up to 100 grams of rough pounamu included in their day. If they would like to make a piece that is bigger, we ask a $1/gram additional charge to help cover the costs of the pounamu. This can be paid for on the day.
